Introduction
LearningBzzz is committed to protecting the privacy of children and families who use our educational application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our LearningBzzz mobile application (the "App").
LearningBzzz is designed for infants and toddlers and is intended to be used under parental supervision. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable privacy laws.

Information We Collect
From Parents/Caregivers
When you create an account, we collect:
- Parent/Caregiver first name, last name, and email address
- Child's first name, date of birth, and profile photo (optional)
- Subscription information (processed through Apple's App Store)
Collected Automatically
When your child uses the App:
- Learning progress data (session completion, skill mastery, curriculum progress)
- Usage data (session times, features used, activity history)

Face Data and TrueDepth API
LearningBzzz uses Apple's TrueDepth API (ARKit) to support
gaze-based answer selection during the infant evaluation feature.
This allows pre-verbal children to indicate their answers by
looking at one of two answer boxes on the screen.
We treat face data with the highest level of privacy protection:
- ✅ **Face data is NOT retained.** All TrueDepth face tracking
data is processed in real time, in-memory, on the user's
device. Each frame is analyzed and immediately discarded.
- ✅ **Face data is NOT stored.** We do not write face data to
disk, to iCloud, to our servers, or to any other persistent
storage. No face images, depth maps, anchor data, face
geometry, or derived facial metrics are saved for any length
of time.
- ✅ **Face data is NOT transmitted off the device.** All TrueDepth
processing occurs locally on the user's device using Apple's
on-device ARKit framework. No face data ever leaves the device.
- ✅ **Face data is NOT shared with any third party.** We do not
share face data with advertising networks, analytics providers,
cloud services, or any other third parties. Because no face
data is stored or transmitted, no third party has access to it.
- ✅ **Face data is used solely for the educational purpose
described above** (gaze-based answer selection during
evaluations) and for no other purpose. It is never used for
advertising, profiling, identity verification, biometric
authentication, or any commercial purpose.
🔒 This face data policy applies to all current and future versions
of LearningBzzz. Any future analytics or benchmarking features
will be built on aggregated behavioral data (such as answer
accuracy and session statistics) — never on face data, face
images, or face geometry.

Speech Recognition
For preschool users, our App uses the device's microphone to
recognize spoken answers during evaluation sessions:
- ✅ Processed locally on device using Apple's on-device Speech
framework
- ✅ Voice recordings are never stored or transmitted
- ✅ Used solely for real-time answer recognition during
evaluations
- ✅ Not used to identify or track individuals

How to Delete Your Data
1. **Delete a Child Profile:** Settings → Manage Children → Select Child → Delete Profile
2. **Delete Your Account:** Settings → Account → Delete Account
3. **Contact Us:** Email us for complete data deletion
Data permanently removed within 30 days of deletion request.
